VEHICLES WITH STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS REQUIRE A MODULE TO RETAIN THE STEERING WHEEL FEATURES

TECH TIP:  Every jeep, chrysler, dodge, and Ram installation for almost a decade requires dremel removal of plastic from the sub-dash. I use a rotozip blade in my dremel, takes about 10 minutes including vacuum cleanup of all the plastic shavings. Some vehicles also have a metal bracket that need to be cut from inside the dash and discarded. Quality tin snips or a metal saw does the trick. There are many videos on youtube that detail this process and the removal of plastic and sometimes metal is not structural and does not prevent the re-installation of the factory radio later.
